The architect had already worked with another studio. The result wasn’t working and a client presentation was coming up fast. He needed someone to step in and deliver something that would actually close the deal. The key wasn’t the architecture. The client had fallen in love with the lawn, the feeling of space, greenness, and calm that the property promised. So that’s where we put our focus. The brief called for an overcast sky, moody, realistic, northern European in feel. The challenge was to keep the grass lush and saturated, maintain contrast, and make the whole image feel alive despite the grey light. We delivered. The architect walked into his presentation with an image that did exactly what it needed to do.
